Our Philosophy

The Giant App blends modern neuroscience with time tested embodiment practices to support change at the level of the body, not just the mind. This work focuses on regulation, consistency, and creating the internal conditions where clarity, creativity, and expansion can emerge naturally.

Somatic Embodiment

Trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. Through somatic tools like the Havening Method and self-hypnosis, you’ll release stored tension and create emotional freedom.

polyvagel theory

Learn to work with your autonomic nervous system so you can shift out of chronic survival states and into steadier, more regulated patterns that support presence and growth.

parts based healing

Reconnect with younger or protective parts of yourself that learned to stay vigilant, over perform, or self protect. This approach focuses on softening these responses rather than forcing them to change.

Ancient Yoga Philosophies

Practices inspired by Qi Gong, Kundalini, Vinyasa yoga, and meditation support circulation, awareness, and integration through movement that meets the body where it is.

Spirituality & Energetics

Your internal state shapes how you experience the world. By supporting nervous system regulation and belief level shifts, this work helps you move through life with greater alignment, clarity, and trust in your inner guidance.

FAQ

  • Somatic movement focuses on the internal experience of movement rather than external form or performance. Instead of training the body from the outside in, somatic practices work from the inside out by engaging sensory awareness, breath, and slow, intentional movement.

From a nervous system perspective, somatic movement supports regulation by sending signals of safety through proprioception, interoception, and gentle muscular activation. This helps shift the body out of stress based patterns and into more adaptive, flexible states over time.

In The Giant App, somatic movement is used as a tool for nervous system regulation, pattern release, and embodied awareness rather than exercise or performance based training.

  • Yes. The practices are designed to be gentle, accessible, and self paced. No prior experience is needed.

  • No. The Giant App is designed to support daily regulation and rewiring. It can be used alongside therapy or on its own as a consistent self resourcing practice.

  • The app uses nervous system informed, non forcing practices. You are always in control of your pace and can pause or modify any session.

  • Rewiring refers to changing how the nervous system automatically responds to stress, memory, and emotion over time. Many patterns we experience as anxiety, avoidance, or self doubt are not conscious choices, but learned nervous system responses shaped by past experiences.

Through regulated, consistent practices, the nervous system can depotentiate trauma responses. This means the emotional charge attached to certain memories, sensations, or triggers is reduced, allowing the body to respond with greater flexibility rather than reflexive protection.

By pairing safety, regulation, and focused attention, the brain’s neuroplasticity supports the formation of new pathways while older survival based responses lose their intensity. This process happens gradually through repetition and safety, not force or reliving past experiences.

  • Self hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of focused attention combined with deep nervous system relaxation. In this state, brain activity shifts toward slower wave patterns associated with learning, integration, and emotional processing.

When the nervous system is in this receptive state, stress responses are reduced and the brain becomes more flexible. In The Giant App, self hypnosis is used to support calming, resourcing, and the depotentiation of old emotional responses by pairing safety signals with new internal experiences.

This is not loss of control. You remain aware and in control throughout the process.

  • Practices range from five to twenty minutes because nervous system change does not require long sessions. Short, consistent inputs are often more effective than occasional longer sessions because they reinforce safety and regulation without overwhelming the system.

  • Consistency matters more than duration. Regular exposure to regulating inputs helps retrain the nervous system through repetition. Even a few minutes a day reinforces safety signals and supports long term pattern change.

  • Some people notice immediate shifts in awareness, tension, or emotional state. Deeper changes, such as reduced reactivity or increased steadiness, typically unfold over time as the nervous system learns that it no longer needs to stay in protective mode.

Progress is non linear and varies from person to person.

  • Most wellness apps focus on performance, productivity, or optimization. The Giant App focuses on nervous system regulation and daily maintenance.

Rather than pushing the body or mind toward outcomes, the practices work with the nervous system’s natural learning processes. This approach supports sustainable change by prioritizing safety, consistency, and integration instead of intensity.

As the nervous system releases old protective responses, creativity and intuition expands.
